Two weekends ago we had a table at the Quilt Show. Now you might wonder what FFSC was doing at a quilt show, but we have a strong connection to the show and it's participants. For several years now the quilters make our adoptees shelter pads or "Cat Cuddles" with the material leftover from their lovely quilts. One of our volunteers, Donna Hinshaw, is a member of the Moonlight Quilters and it was her idea to use her quilting talents for the cats and the "cat cuddle" concept was conceived. The mats serve several purposes....1) they provide a cozy, comfy spot for our cats to snuggle into while awaiting a home 2) brighten our adoption room with beautiful colors and patterns and 3) go home with our adoptees so they can have something that is familiar and comforting with them to take to their new home.

Just up the street a ways, in Cloverdale, one of our Pick of the Litter staff members, Cheryl, accompanied by one of our volunteers, Ann Marie also staffed an informational table for the Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce Antique Show. We had some vintage items from Pick of the Litter for sale along with FFSC information.
Other sites we'll be seen in the coming months will be:
Oliver's Parking Lot in Rincon Valley on Montecito Boulevard every Saturday starting 7/8/2012 with our Mobile Adoption Van and cats and kittens for adoption.
August 16th - Actors Basement at the Glaser Center - Benefit for Forgotten Felines
September 29 - Animal Shelter League of Rohnert Park Mutt Strut at the RP Community Center

Jennifer
